Hi, I’m Emily. I love making pretty things.
I hold a B.A. in graphic design from Anderson University of Anderson, SC where I learned the importance of communicating succinctly but effectively. My method is to personalize my experience with the brand, product, or service in question—to put myself in the consumer/listener's shoes. There's an aspect of make-believe in this that I hope I'll never outgrow.
My 5+ years of work experience has been varied, ranging from apparel photography to marketing concept art for power tools to textbook design. This has given me exposure to many brands and audiences and has helped me become a well-rounded designer, but my super power is illustration/design integration. I love that I get to wake up in the morning—after a tumbler of coffee—and solve problems, collaborate with other creatives, and make beautiful things.
If you catch me outside of work, you'll likely find me chiseling away on side projects for friends or family. I also enjoy weekly opportunities to use my abilities in my church community. Aside from art and design, I enjoy learning Korean, eating all manner of noodles, watching cartoons, and exploring my beautiful hometown, Greenville.
